Mold Remediation in a Psychiatric Facility

This psychiatric facility in Flagstaff, Arizona, was having problems with mold, and so they contacted SERVPRO of Flagstaff/East Sedona. Our SERVPRO certified technicians went in and started the mold removal process. Because there were still patients in the unaffected rooms, it was imperative to make containment barriers using heavy duty plastic. When disturbed, mold will send spores into the air and they can be aggravating to the young, elderly, immunocompromised, and to people that are allergic to mold. We then create negative pressure in the affected area using a large HEPA filter, and this allows clean air to enter the contained area without sending the bad air into the unaffected areas.
