Infrared (IR) vs. Visible Water Damaged Hall
The before picture is of the same hallway as the other but in infrared (IR) non-visible light. The IR camera "sees" things of different temperatures as different colors (the explanation for that requires quantum physics). The blue and purple parts of the walls show where the water has wicked up from the bottom of the drywall. Being able to see where the water has migrated allows us to more accurately remove damaged materials. After we remove the necessary materials, then we can begin the drying process. Our technicians will setup the equipment and return everyday to check on how the drying is progressing.
